MESSAGE - 6/27/2010 1:19 PM Bennie, Took a trip to the cemetery today in Portsmouth, VA. It's actually three combined. The 1st two were heavily overgrown. Definitely needs to get the grass cut! I walked to the back cemetery closest to the interstate & that wasn't as bad. Seems the grass has been cut. There are around 25 USCTs buried there I was able to take about 5-6 pics due to the overgrowth. Hopefully in the fall I can get back in there & do some more work. John MESSAGE - 6/28/2010 10:31 PM Bennie, Looks like there may be more than 25 at the cemeteries. Going thru my pics I've already found 3-4 not on the list & another I can't find in any database. Looks like I have my work cut out this winter... 1st pic: Headstone to the right is buried... 2nd Pic: Headstone laying on the ground & not on the list... John |
